Knee OsteoArthritis

Osteoarthritis of the Knee

Knee osteoarthritis is the most common arthritis of older adults. It is a leading cause of disability and greatly reduces quality of life. Prolozone therapy reduces pain and inflammation and repairs soft tissue degradation in mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis. Out patients find it is far more pain reducing than other forms of knee injection therapies that can actually cause inflammation, such as hyaluronic acid.

The severity of your knee will dictate how many ozone treatments are needed. Often moderate chronic cases respond well with 5 initial treatments and maintenance only as needed after.  Severed cases will be examined by the practitioner for the amount of treatments that will be recommended. If you feel that you have bone on bone knees but are unwilling to stick to a treatment regimen of multiple injections at intervals that we recommend, then Ozone may not be for you. However, PRP and Stem Cells (that also need multiple treatments) are great for advanced knee pathology, though sadly they run in the $1000-$5000 range, sometimes for just one of multiple sessions that are needed. This is why if patients are willing to put in the effort to get regular injections, we highly recommend prolozone injections.
